Just in time for CES 2012, Lexar has announced their new 1000x line of cards. Capable of transfer speeds of 150 MB per second, they can handle HD video uncompressed, very fast flushing of the buffer of any still camera, as well as lightning-fast downloads to a computer. It's the equivalent of a class 20 card.
The Lexar Professional 1000x CF card is available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities. It supports the Video Performance Guarantee (VPG-20) specification. This means the card's been tested and guaranteed for professional video capture streams at up to 20MB/s. This enables professional-quality full-HD video capture at high frame rates with no dropped frames. It's designed with professionals in mind, so it's made for durability and reliability. No pricing has been announced, but chances are that it will be priced accordingly.
