Domke F-8 for Digital SLR’s Now Available in RuggedWear

by PVC News Staff

Domke, a division of The Tiffen Company, has announced that their F-8 Compact Bag designed for today’s popular digital SLR cameras is now available in RuggedWear.

Like your favorite pair of jeans, Domke bags get better with age and with the new Domke RuggedWear™ collection you don’t have to wait. The fabric produces a unique distressed and weathered look right from the start. The RuggedWear bags feature high-quality, weather-tough, durable cotton canvas that is treated with special non-solvent, environmentally friendly waxes to afford the fabric a lifelong resistance to inclement weather. The special formula allows the fabric to breathe while the waxes produce a unique, timeless, weathered, distressed patina finish. By using the included refinishing wax, bags can be restored to its original finish. As with all Domke bags, the RuggedWear collection is made in the USA.

The Domke F-8 has all of the great features of the F-3 in a more compact form. It is the bag to grab when the assignment doesn’t call for lots of equipment. The inside and outside dimensions are nearly identical, resulting in an inconspicuous bag that carries and protects your equipment and accessories without the extra bulk.

Rugged, roomy, lightweight and versatile, the Domke F-8 is made of soft, supple, heavyweight, cotton canvas with RuggedWear finish.

Eight inner compartments and pockets including Domke’s “upside-down” zipper pouch inside the weather flap offer ample storage. A removable hook and loop partition divides the padded main compartment. A padded bottom keeps equipment safe and dry.

Adjustable closures on the main flap allow you to easily close even the most “overstuffed” bag. Indestructible steel snap hooks secure the main weather flap.

Twin tracks of high-friction rubber are woven into the thickest, toughest cotton webbing so that it clings to the shoulder and runs completely around the bag. Most of the Domke bags feature street-tough steel snaphooks (a Domke hallmark) with welded steel rings, as the primary closure. It’s the toughest, most reliable, pilfer-proof yet quick-operating closure short of a padlock. List price is $129.99.

Domke bags are the preferred choice of the White House News Photographers Association.
